Every October, the coastal town of Cardwell comes alive for the Cardwell Seafest โ€“ a two-day celebration of seaside living, fresh seafood, and good old-fashioned fun. This free, family-friendly festival brings together locals and visitors from across North Queensland to enjoy live entertainment, kidsโ€™ activities, markets, competitions, and fireworks right on the beachfront.

Saturday โ€“ Classic Cars, Fireworks & Food

  • Car Show on the Foreshore featuring local classics and muscle cars

Sunday โ€“ Market Day & Family Activities

  • Markets and family fun day with local produce and handmade crafts
  • Pie-eating and prawn-peeling competitions

  • Hula-hooping, egg-and-spoon and sack races
  • Pirates and mermaids fancy-dress parade featuring Captain Jack Sparrow and Ariel the Mermaid
